SAVED BY A DOGMackenzie W-HBy
“Mommy, when's lunch gonna be ready?”I asked. It was summer 2003.I waited for an answer. “ Come on down honey. I am just cleaning up,” she replied. I got up and started walking down the stairs. Suddenly, I heard something brake. I jumped up. I thought it was my mom's head. I ran down the stairs as fast as I could. When I got down the stairs and looked in on the kitchen, there was glass everywhere. I was so afraid I couldn't think. I started running at full speed into the kitchen. My mom yelled “ STOP!!!!!!!”. As I was about to step on a huge piece of glass, when a gold streak pushed me out of the way!My dog had saved me from stepping on a piece of glass. I don't know if she meant to, but the good thing is she did. I am so glad that my dog came at the perfect time.
